Hey guys, look what I’ve found on Reddit!

(Note: This is a lengthy piece to read, so bear with me—it’s a matter of your future.)

“Frustrated with PTE Exam. Need genuine suggestions

Not sure if everyone feels the same way but I have attempted my PTE for the fourth time to achieve 79+ in each band, unfortunately I am unable to achieve it.

I have tried all tips and tricks, watch so many YouTube videos, learn so much grammar everything that I could think of but still I am not able to get the desired scores.

I don’t know if I should blame the test center or is just the headphone sounds quality. If I increase volume, the sound is just too loud and burst my ears. If my decrease volume by a bit then some of the word I don't understand properly. It just not clarity and clear to hear. Obviously, there are noises coming from around that will distract you.”

The reason I’ve published this post is that everybody who’s tried and failed in PTE feels the same frustration.

Also, someone who wants to appear for the first time in this test has so many fears about what would happen during the exam. They crave their desired score but after a few hours when the result arrives, so many of them face failure.

My take: You don’t ask an intelligent person, but a successful one.

For your understanding, let’s break down the above-mentioned Reddit post and find the solution.

When the guy said, “unfortunately I am unable to achieve it.”

Here’s the solution: If you’re determined to do something, you can do anything. For instance: there are so many examples in your life when you thought something wasn’t achievable and still you achieved it. Pause for a moment and go back into the past. You’ll find so many examples.

When he said, “I have tried all tips and tricks, watch so many YouTube videos, learn so much grammar everything that I could think of but still I am not able to get the desired scores.”

Solution: First of all, you can’t drive a car with just a few hacks and tricks.

YouTube is a great platform to learn something but don’t you think it’s unfair for you to just watch some videos and make a few notes and assume that you’ve mastered it? Guys, practice is the key here! Plus, you need to follow a set path and proven methods if you want to get the desired score in PTE.

Now analyze this last paragraph:

“I don’t know if I should blame the test center or is just the headphone sounds quality. If I increase volume, the sound is just too loud and burst my ears. If my decrease volume by a bit then some of the word I don't understand properly. It just not clarity and clear to hear. Obviously, there are noises coming from around that will distract you.”

Solution: If someone experiences any issue during the exam—headphone sound quality or anything else—you should immediately inform the invigilator about the problem. They’ll solve it right away or if your test is affected by these types of problems, you can ask the PTE authority to give you another chance to appear—for free.
